Thermorphous S-T-02 is a water-based, sprayable fire-protection and insulation coating rated to withstand up to 1500 °C — applied where a pack needs a non-flammable thermal barrier.
A sprayable thermal barrier for the pack enclosure
Beyond the cells, the pack enclosure and adjacent structures benefit from a non-flammable thermal barrier. Thermorphous S-T-02 is water-based, sprayable on metal and composite, non-flammable and low-smoke, and withstands up to 1500 °C — a coating layer that complements inter-cell barriers and dual-mode compounds. Battery-pack insulation is one of the applications Matwerkz names for this grade.
