What it is
Matwerkz SF203 is a water-based hybrid coating that combines the application ease of polyurethane with inorganic-grade fire resistance — protecting surfaces up to 1200 °C while meeting strict environmental standards. It adheres effectively to metals, ceramics and plastics alike, making it ideal for complex geometries and diverse industrial needs. Its versatility positions it across aerospace, automotive, electronics, energy and construction, wherever efficient thermal management and material protection are critical.

Proven: 1200 °C flame, backside at 126 °C
Plastic substrates coated with SF203 can withstand direct flame exposure at 1200 °C for over 10 minutes, effectively preventing ignition, burn-through and structural failure. After 3 minutes of fire exposure, the backside temperature of a coated sample remained as low as 126 °C — whereas an uncoated sample would have burned through.
