Plastic and composite parts are often load-bearing but combustible, and switching to metal is not always viable. S201 adheres to plastics, metals and composites; it conducts heat at normal operating temperature, then forms a protective thermal barrier above 150 °C — buying time before the substrate ignites or deforms. It is an explicitly stated application of the grade.
