Adaptive Pack Thermal Management
Thermorphous FX25 conducts heat efficiently below 120 °C for normal cooling, then transforms into a thermal insulator above it — one material doing dual duty.
Cool the pack normally, arrest heat in an event
Packs need to move heat during normal operation but block its spread during a fault. Thermorphous FX25 — co-developed with Sakata INX Corporation — conducts heat below 120 °C, then flips to insulation above that threshold, and survives to 1000 °C without flame or toxic smoke. That lets a single material help cool the pack in use and help arrest cell-to-cell propagation in an event. It integrates into electronic assemblies, battery packs and industrial systems, and is supplied in 5, 20 and 200 kg.
